The 12 Screams of Christmas is the second book in the Goosebumps Most Wanted: Special Edition book series. It was proceeded by Zombie Halloween and followed by A Nightmare on Clown Street.

The cover shows a house on a cold winter night. The house is decorated with Christmas lights and has a snowman in the yard. Emerging from the house is a green ghost wrapped in Christmas lights and wearing an ugly Christmas sweater and a Santa hat.

The infamous, Most Wanted Goosebumps characters are out on the loose and after you. For the second time ever, it's a Goosebumps Christmas!

Kate Welles doesn't want to be special. She just wants to play the lead in her school's Christmas play. Her annoying "friend" Courtney is constantly getting in the way of that. Can you even call someone a "friend" if all they do is make fun of you and ruin everything all of the time? But Kate has to get along with Courtney or else neither of them will be allowed to take part in The 12 Screams of Christmas.

  • Like the previous Special Edition this book divided into 3 part with the first part telling about the past story of the villain.
  • The "Welcome You Are Most Wanted Section" is not present in this book.
  • Some references were made in this book:
    • In the prologue story, Abe mentioned that one of his father's ghost stories was about headless ghosts returning from the grave to find their heads. This was a reference to The Headless Ghost.
    • Before Kate and the kids started their rehearsals, Mr. Piccolo told them about a true scary story that happened in their auditorium. That was like in Phantom of the Auditorium as Ms. Walker also told her students about a true scary story that happened in their auditorium before they did their rehearsals. Adding to that, the boy named Cliff and Brian Colson were both dead before they could do their performances.
  • This is the 2nd Christmas themed book in the whole series, with the first being More & More & More Tales to Give You Goosebumps.
  • The title of the book is a reference to the Christmas song "The 12 Days of Christmas". There's even a parody of the song sung in the book.
