In Japan, the series has been released by two different publishers throughout two time periods. The first run was published by Sony Magazine from August 1995 to July 1996, as ten Goosebumps books from the original series were translated by Mami Toyooka. The original artwork from the English versions were kept.

From June 2006 to March 2007, Iwasaki Shoten published ten Goosebumps books as the ones from this run were translated by Yuuko Tsumori, and there were new illustration covers made by Teruyo. Five of them were new translations of the books that were published before, while another five were new and never before published.

Trivia[]

  • Monster Blood was published as the tenth book in Japan during the Sony Magazine run. There was a five page preview for One Day At Horrorland as it was intended to be the eleventh book published there. However, that never came through, as only ten were released throughout that run.
