Classic Goosebumps is a series of reprints consisting of Goosebumps titles originally published during the 1990s, with all the covers sporting a white Goosebumps logo and large slanted book titles. The first twenty-two books featured bonus materials, with eighteen of them being released as direct tie-ins to the Goosebumps HorrorLand series. After 2011, the series adopted a sporadic release schedule, with new entries being released in waves to promote Goosebumps TV and film properties.

The first thirty-six books featured brand-new artwork by then series illustrator Brandon Dorman, with some of them paying homage to Tim Jacobus' original covers. Upon Dorman's retirement as the series cover artist with the release of Goosebumps House of Shivers, subsequent new entries have reverted to using Jacobus' original artwork.

Books[]

Thirty-six of the Classic Goosebumps books are from the original series, five are from Series 2000, and one is from Give Yourself Goosebumps.

Behind the Screams[]

The first twenty-two books each contain a "Behind the Screams" segment at the end, a small section containing bonus material. This section was omitted in the movie tie-in reprints.

The art direction for the first thirty-six books differs vastly from the original series. The covers were not illustrated by series veteran Tim Jacobus, but instead Brandon Dorman, who is known for his detailed fantasy-like illustrations. Unlike Jacobus' original covers, Dorman created his artwork digitally. Some of Dorman's illustrations closely followed Jacobus' original compositions, but done in his own style (pictured). Starting in 2024, all new entries use Jacobus' original artwork instead of new artwork by Dorman, who had retired as the series artist.

The covers do not feature slime of any kind along the border of the cover. Similarly to the covers of the Goosebumps Series 2000 books, the slime was likely omitted to allow for better presentation of the cover art. The design of the logo has also been changed, and is now white instead of green. The first twenty-two books in the series featured raised covers, similar to Series 2000. Starting with book twenty-three, the covers were printed completely flat. Previous books in the series that featured raised covers were also re-released with flat covers.
